Amazon Launches All-New Fire TV Stick with Alexa

Amazon has launched its newest generation of its best-selling Fire TV Sticks. With the Amazon Fire TV Stick, you can enjoy over 7,000 apps and games on any television, including Netflix, Hulu, HBO NOW, YouTube, Amazon Video, and the OptiSigns platform. This is exciting news for the digital signage world, because the new Amazon Fire TV Stick is faster, easier to use, and just as affordable as the last generation.

This new Fire TV Stick is beefed up with a quad-core processor and support for faster MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi, but its biggest draw from past iterations is likely the inclusion of Alexa, Amazon’s virtual assistant. Alexa makes surfing the many apps the Fire TV Sticks offer a breeze. A simple voice command can search all the apps, play a video from one of your streaming services, or take you straight to the OptiSigns app.

The remote is also beefed up – bigger and thicker than before but this is to house the microphone that supports the voice commands. The best thing about this offering from Amazon is that this is not a glorified TV remote with a stripped-down version of Alexa. This Fire TV Stick boasts the full version of Alexa that can do everything it can do on the Echo and other devices like making to-do lists, ordering pizza or offering weather forecasts.

Alexa makes it easy to execute commands because you will no longer live in a world where you have to check all your streaming services to find if the show you want to watch is available. All of the apps supported by the Amazon Fire TV Stick are deep-linked, which means that Alexa will do the work for you.

Now, the new Amazon Fire TV Stick isn’t only great for catching up on your favorite Netflix Original. The team at OptiSigns is excited because the new Amazon Fire TV Stick brings a more powerful package to the table, which makes updating the digital signage in your restaurant even easier and more intuitive. Simply plug in the TV Fire Stick and use a voice command to find the OptiSigns app. Once it’s downloaded, it’s a snap to update your digital signs from a single dashboard online.

Does this seem like it’s too good to be true? It isn’t. This is an amazing deal and wonderful value for the same price as past generations – $40.
